Heart attack also known as myocardial infarction is the occurrence of an acute blockage of blood flow and oxygen to the heart resulting in depth of tissue in the myocardium. Frequently a heart attack is preceeded by the development of “angina pectoris” or chest discomfort. At times a heart attack can be silent without the development of chest discomfort. Exercise stress testing is one of the important diagnostic tools for stratifying risk of individuals for heart attack
