Dr. David Sherman, M.D.

David Sherman, M.D., graduated with a medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. He then completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Hospital where he was named chief resident. Dr. Sherman subsequently completed a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center where he was named chief fellow.

He was the director of the cardiology clinic at Columbia University Medical Center from 1998-2008. Dr. Sherman is currently a board certified cardiologist in private practice and an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia University. He specializes in the treatment and prevention of cardiac disorders including but not limited to hypertension, stroke, and valvular heart disease. He has a particular interest in echocardiography.
