Obesity or excess weight has an association with coronary artery disease. There is evidence to suggest that excess weight along with inactivity has a relationship with impaired health in particular with disorders such as hypertension, glucose intolerance, and abnormal lipids. Obesity is a risk factor that can be modified with diet and exercise.
