Family History
One of the risk factors in the development of heart disease is a family history of a heart attack or cardiac death at a premature age usually described as occurring before 60 years of age in a close family member. In individuals who have a risk of early atherosclerosis, early evaluation can be helpful in determining and potentially modifying the risk for underlying heart disease.
