Cardiac Wellness
Cardiac wellness is a program to reduce cardiac risk for future cardiac events such as heart attack or cardiac death. Cardiac wellness is generally achieved through a combination of exercise, nutrition, and information regarding risk modification. Cardiac wellness and cardiac rehabilitation is also a program initiated after an individual has suffered a heart attack, open heart surgery, or had a coronary stent placed. Cardiac wellness helps to modify risk factors and decrease the risk of future cardiac events.
